NYPD wants to hear from you: Mon. 9/9 @ 7pm

DATE: Monday September 09, 2019
TIME: 7:00 PM
LOCATION: JFK Export Center  - 157-11 Rockaway Blvd Jamaica, NY 11435

TONIGHT -  Monday September 9th, the NYPD will be coming to the GatewayJFK district to hold a special meeting where businesses and residents can share their concerns with leaders from the Queens 105th Precinct.

Neighborhood Coordination Officers (NCO) Kurt Benjamin and Luis Benzant will be joined by Commanding Officers from the precinct and New York City Councilmember Donovan Richards to hear your concerns.

The meeting is part of the larger "Build the Block" Neighborhood Safety Meetings being held by NYPD as part of an ongoing effort related to their Neighborhood Policing program. The program seeks to close the divide between officers and community members. "Build the Block" meetings are strategy sessions between local police officers and the people they serve. The meetings have two simple goals: identify the public safety challenges of a specific neighborhood and discuss potential solutions.

The GatewayJFK District has a lot of special needs related to policing from illegal dumping, to traffic concerns, to loitering and abandoned vehicles. We encourage all of our business owners and our residents to attend, describe these issues and more with the NYPD, and help us plan for solutions.
