District-wide Services & Improvements
The JFK IBID Planning Committee has identified several priorities that are the subject of District-wide Services and Improvements. To date, the Planning Committee has performed a variety of outreach efforts to gain insights about this off-airport district. The primary sources include: City Agency Input, Community Survey (on-going), Specific Issues Brought to Committee by Individuals, City Agencies & Others, one-on-one interviews with owners and tenants.
Advocacy & Administration
Once approved, the JFK IBID Planning Committee transitions to an Interim Board of Directors which establishes a not-for-profit 501c(3) organization to implement the JFK IBID Plan. Many start-up tasks are undertaken to work towards the election of a permanent Board of Directors and full-time Executive Director to implement the IBID Plan on a day-to-day basis to advocate for increasing responsiveness to neighborhood issues in the JFK IBID area.
